EZMEMS was co-founded by two engineers with complementary expertise and a shared belief that the hardest sensing problems are worth solving.
Together, they lead a team based in Israel’s innovation ecosystem, developing multisensing platforms that bring real-time physical data into digital systems and AI-driven decision making — across materials science, sensing physics, microfabrication, embedded systems, and fluidics.
Dr. Tsvi Shmilovich
Co-Founder & CEO
Tsvi brings more than 30 years of research and development experience in multidisciplinary engineering, with over 20 years dedicated to MEMS technologies. Combining deep technical expertise with business leadership, he holds a BSc from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, and a PhD and MBA from Tel Aviv University. As Co-Founder and CEO, he leads the company’s vision, strategy, and technology development.
Nicola Molinazzi
Co-Founder & CTO
Nicola brings over 20 years of experience leading electronic R&D projects across advanced technology and engineering domains. With a strong background in electrical engineering and multidisciplinary product development, he holds an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bologna, Italy. As Co-Founder and CTO, he leads EZMEMS’ technological development and drives the company’s innovation roadmap.
It all started with one question:
Why is everyone building sensors from the wrong material?
Silicon cannot integrate multiple sensing types in a single device. It is, in our founder’s words, the wrong material — not wrong for electronics, but wrong for sensing and interacting with the physical world. The human body doesn’t experience the world through rigid structures. It uses soft, responsive, integrated systems. Polymer composites are the right model.
That conviction led our CEO through his PhD in polymeric actuators, and eventually to a chance encounter with co-founder Nicola. They worked together in the lab, collaborated on research, and built a company around a shared belief: that multisensing, done properly, could transform every industry that depends on understanding the physical world.
Why this matters to us
EZMEMS is making water safer, drug development faster, and industrial processes more transparent. The applications are different. The mission is the same: giving industries the real-world data they need to make better decisions. Because a more legible world is a better world.
